Ausgangssituation
Staatliche und nichtstaatliche Organisationen in Ruanda können Betroffene von sexualisierter und geschlechtsspezifischer Gewalt (sexual and gender-based violence, SGBV) zu wenig und nicht entsprechend ihrer Situation unterstützen. Es fehlt an Finanzierung, gut koordinierten Maßnahmen und Kompetenzen bei den zuständigen Stellen.

Ziel
Staatlichen und nichtstaatlichen Handlungsträger*innen gelingt es, die nationalen Vorgaben zu sexualisierter und geschlechtsspezifischer Gewalt in Ruanda zielgruppengerecht umzusetzen.

Vorgehensweise
Das Projekt arbeitet in folgenden Handlungsfeldern:
- Es trägt zu einer besseren Koordination von Maßnahmen staatlicher und nichtstaatlicher Vertreter*innen bei. Dabei geht es darum, Gewalt zu verhindern sowie Betroffene zu unterstützen. Zusammen mit dem Ministerium für Gleichstellung und Familienförderung (Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion, MIGEPROF) unterstützt das Projekt die Maßnahmen finanziell.
- Es erarbeitet zielgruppengerechte Ansätze, damit ausgewählte Lokalverwaltungen bessere Angebote für SGBV-Betroffene bereitstellen können.
- Es verbessert die Wirtschaftlichkeit der Arbeit zivilgesellschaftlicher Organisationen, die Betroffene zum Beispiel rechtlich und psychosozial unterstützen.
 

 

Project description (EN)

Context
State and non-state organisations in Rwanda are unable to provide those affected by sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) with adequate support tailored to their circumstances. The relevant authorities lack funding, well-coordinated measures and expertise.

Objective
State and non-state actors are able to implement the national requirements relating to sexual and gender-based violence in Rwanda based on the target group.

Approach
The project operates in the following areas:
- It contributes to improved coordination of measures by state and non-state representatives to prevent violence and support those affected. Together with the Rwandan Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF), the project provides financial support for these measures.
- It develops approaches tailored to target groups so that selected local administrations can deliver better services to those affected by SGBV.
- It improves the cost-effectiveness of the work of civil society organisations which, for example, provide legal and psychosocial support to those affected.
