Project description (DE)

Project description (EN)

The Global Project "Feminism in Action for Structural Transformation" (FAST) aims to demonstrate that approaches of the BMZ’s feminist development policy can drive real transformative change in global development. By integrating feminist approaches into projects and partnerships with governments and civil society in four partner countries, FAST focuses on the perspectives and expertise of local actors. Together, context-sensitive and sustainable approaches are developed. The project places great emphasis on building best practices and fostering knowledge exchange within international cooperation. Through interaction with local partners and the sharing of effective methods and proven practices, feminist principles are to be applied innovatively and evidence-based, serving as a model for future projects. FAST seeks to show that feminist policymaking can go beyond theory and deliver tangible results on the ground.
Based on existing good practices and their scaling potential, specific sectors were selected for each country: Armenia focuses on gender-based violence prevention and gender data, Colombia on the nexus of peace, environment, gender, and further care work, Tunisia on renewable energy and good governance, and Rwanda on good governance and gender data.
All countries share a focus on data feminism as a key cross-cutting theme. The goal is to critically examine the role of data and its implications for gender equality. In the project's internal Knowledge Hub, the results are then analysed from a comparative perspective, processed, and made available for global knowledge exchange.
