Ausgangssituation
Die internationale Zusammenarbeit braucht Partnerschaften, so die klare Botschaft der Agenda 2030 und ihrer 17 Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung (Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs): Eine der Kernaussagen lautet, dass die komplexen sozialen, ökologischen und ökonomischen Herausforderungen der Gegenwart und Zukunft nur unter Einbeziehung aller gesellschaftlichen Akteure bewältigt werden können. Unter Ziel 17 werden Multi-Akteurs-Partnerschaften (MAP) erwähnt. Eine gelungene Zusammenarbeit zwischen Beteiligten aus Politik, Zivilgesellschaft, Wissenschaft und Privatwirtschaft fördert die Erreichung aller 17 Ziele der Agenda 2030.
Aktuell sind MAP weltweit unterschiedlich erfolgreich. Die Zusammenarbeit ist oftmals schwierig. Dennoch kann dieser kooperative Ansatz in den passenden Situationen erfolgsversprechend sein: Vor allem komplexe Herausforderungen können einzelne Akteure oft nur schwer lösen. Gemeinschaftlich lassen sich diese effektiver angehen.

Ziel
Erfolgreiche MAP zwischen Akteuren aus Politik, Zivilgesellschaft, Wissenschaft und Privatwirtschaft sind in der deutschen Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und als Form der internationalen Zusammenarbeit etabliert und tragen zur Umsetzung der Agenda 2030 bei.

Vorgehensweise
Das Projekt unterstützt neue und bereits bestehende MAP, ihre Ziele umzusetzen. Die GIZ stellt in diesem Zusammenhang das Sekretariat der Plattform Partnerschaften2030 zur Umsetzung der Agenda 2030. Mit Engagement Global - bengo besteht außerdem eine Kooperation zur Förderung zivilgesellschaftlich initiierter MAP.
Partnerschaften2030 bietet Angebote für Akteure, die Partnerschaften aufbauen und umsetzen wollen: (1) Das Vorhaben stellt Fachinformationen u.a. über die Webseite www.partnerschaften2030.de bereit; (2) Das Vorhaben bietet standardisierte und maßgeschneiderte Lern- und Weiterbildungsangebote an; und (3) Das Vorhaben bietet fachliche Beratung für bestehende MAP oder einzelne Akteure mit Interesse an dem MAP-Format.
 

Context
International cooperation requires partnerships – this is the clear message of the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of the core statements is that complex current and future social, ecological and economic challenges can only be mastered if all stakeholders in society are involved. SDG 17 mentions multi-stakeholder partnerships (MSP). Successful cooperation among stakeholders from civil society, academia as well as the public and the private sectors supports the achievement of all 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda.
At present, MSPs around the globe are operating with various levels of success. Cooperation is often arduous. Nevertheless, in the right situation, a cooperative approach can be very promising. Complex challenges in particular are often difficult for a single stakeholder to resolve alone. These can be addressed more effectively in an MSP.

Objective
Successful MSPs between stakeholders from civil society, academia as well as the public and the private sectors are well-established in German development cooperation and as a form of international cooperation and contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

Approach
The project supports new and existing multi-stakeholder partnerships with achieving their goals. In this context, GIZ has set up the secretariat for the Partnerships 2030 platform to implement the 2030 Agenda. Furthermore, the project cooperates with Engagement Global - bengo to promote MSPs initiated by civil society.
In addition, Partnerships2030 offers services for stakeholders who want to establish and implement partnerships: (1) The project provides specialist information, including via the website www.partnerships2030.org; (2) The project offers standardised and tailor-made learning and training opportunities; and (3) The project provides specialist advice for existing MSPs or individual stakeholders with an interest in the MSP format.
