Kontext:
In Mexiko gelten kleinste, kleine und mittlere Unternehmen (KKMU) als Kleinstbetriebe, die bis zu zehn Mitarbeitende beschäftigen. Sie haben die höchste Beschäftigungsbeteiligung des Landes.

Dabei weist das KKMU-Segment tendenziell größere Schwankungen auf als große Unternehmen, vor allem in Bezug auf Einkommen, beschäftigtes Personal, Standorte, Schließungen und Eröffnungen.

Zudem wirkte sich der Gesundheitsnotstand bei KKMU während der COVID-19-Pandemie negativ auf die Herstellung, das Angebot der Produkte und die Dienstleistungen aus.

Gleichzeitig besteht jedoch das Potenzial, grüne Geschäftsmodelle über KKMU bekannt zu machen.

Ziele:
KKMU haben im Rahmen der Umsetzung von grünen Geschäftsstrate-gien zur Erholung der mexikanischen Wirtschaft beigetragen.

Context:
In Mexico, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that employ up to ten staff members are considered microenterprises. These make up the highest share of employment in the country.

However, the MSME segment generally experiences greater fluctuations than large companies, particularly when it comes to income, employees, locations, closures and launches.

Furthermore, the health emergency at MSMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic negatively impacted manufacturing and the products and services on offer.

Nevertheless, the recovery of the MSMEs in the wake of the pandemic has the potential to popularise green business models and improve the working conditions and quality of life for a broad segment of the population.


Objectives:
MSMEs have contributed to the recovery of the Mexican economy as part of the implementation of green business strategies.
